Music Review – The Answer by Jeremy Camp

How exciting that several of my favorite musical artists have new albums coming out and I’m invited to review them. This time it’s Jeremy Camp’s album The Answer.

I always like to know the story or inspiration behind an album. Inside the cd case is the inspiration for this one:

Music Review - Matthew West, ccm artist

Music Review – All In by Matthew West

Matthew West is one of my favorite musical artists, so I was excited to get the opportunity to review his latest cd, All In. I got it last week and couldn’t wait to pop it in and listen to it. I’m happy to announce, it was just as good as I expected. That’s one thing I like about Matthew West. He’s consistent. You know his music is going to be upbeat and catchy.

Music Review – Every Mile Mattered by Nichole Nordeman

I love reviewing new music. After months of focus on filming, I jumped on the opportunity to review Nichole Nordeman’s cd Every Mile Mattered. It took a few days before I had a chance to listen, but then I popped it in the car on my way out of town. It was the perfect driving music.

Forever music album by lap child

Music Review – Forever by Lap Child

It’s always fun to discover new music to enjoy. I received my copy of Forever while we were in the midst of filming, so I listened to it while gathering costumes and getting props ready between film days. I especially enjoyed the instrumentation as it has a very soothing feeling about it. The entire album has a gentle, peaceful sound.

Mandisa “Out of the Dark” – CD Review

I’ve been a fan of Mandisa since the moment she first appeared on AMERICAN IDOL 5. I loved not only her voice but her sweet spirit and her courage to take a stand as a Christian. Since then I’ve followed her career and enjoyed listening to her music, so I was glad for the opportunity to review OUT OF THE DARK, her latest CD.

OUT OF THE DARK feels a little more political than her previous music, but it still maintains her high energy level, unique musical style, and bold faith statements. It’s great music to uplift and encourage you.

Treasure Toons – Review and Recommendation

I’ve got to admit. I offered to review Treasure Toons because I figured with it being a kid’s DVD, it wouldn’t take long to pop it in and give a few words. But then I turned it on, and, well, I really liked it. I found myself watching the entire DVD, bopping along to the catchy music.

The Afters “Live on Forever” Album Review and Recommendation

I’m in the midst of working on my latest screenplay, and since I can’t write without background music, I was glad to have the offer of a new CD to review. I wasn’t familiar with The Afters, but after listening to this latest album, “Live on Forever”, I’m a new fan. I love their music!

Orphaned Courage

Orphaned Courage – Review and Recommendation

I love student films. I love the enthusiasm of the filmmakers, the originality of their stories, and their passion to succeed. Often, however, what the films offer in energy, they lack in quality.  Occasionally, a young student is able to combine their excitement with raw talent and skills. Thus is the case of Josiah Stendel with Orphaned Courage.
