I met Shari Rigby at our first NRB convention and have interviewed her each year since. In the beginning, she was an actress talking about her role in October Baby. Now, each year she seems to add on to her roles. She wrote Beautifully Flawed: Finding Your Radiance in the Imperfections of Your Life. Now her focus is on film directing. In our interview she talks about the many projects she’s working on at the moment.
It’s always fun to go to NRB convention and meet for the first time local folks like Tina Griffin from the Nashville area. Tina is a former Hollywood actress who has spent the past fifteen years traveling around the world with her live show Hollywood Exposed. As the Counter Culture Mom, she’s dedicated herself to helping parents navigate today’s pop culture chaos. She hosts Hollywood Insider, a live broadcast show, and recently launched the Counter Culture Mom app. In our interview she explains the app and how parents can keep abreast of all things entertainment.
Next weekend on March 16th, I Can Only Imagine releases to theaters. It’s the story behind the song, and what a story it is! I had the opportunity at NRB Convention to interview actress Madeline Carroll, the leading lady in the movie. She does a fabulous job as Shannon, Bart Millard’s childhood sweetheart.
Daniel Roebuck is one of Hollywood’s most familiar faces. Through the years I’ve watched him on many of my favorite classic tv shows like Matlock, Lois and Clark, Love Boat, King of Queens, Early Edition, Nash Bridges… The list goes on and on. Now I can’t wait to watch him on the big screen.

A renowned casting director once said, “Cathryn Sullivan is one of the top acting coaches in the nation. Learn from her!”
Cathryn Sullivan coaches children and teen actors and has taught many stars that have included superstars Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato and her award-winning son, Cody Linley. Cody is best known for playing the recurring character Jake Ryan on Disney’s TV series, “Hannah Montana,” and getting fourth place as the youngest contestant on “Dancing with the Stars,” Season 7, when he was paired with Julianne Hough.
I’m excited to introduce Steven Brown, one of our talented actors in the cast of SUMMER OF ’67. Steven and his wife Dorothy have a blended family of 9 children and 14 grandchildren. Like many of our actors, he’s a Navy Veteran. He’s also a musician with a newly released album called MOMENTUM that you’ll want to check out.
I’m often approached by parents of children and teens worried because their children are wanting to break into the entertainment industry. The parents wonder if it’s possible to maintain Christian values while working in a very secular industry. I guide them as best as I can, but now I’m excited to be able to share Jeannie Garcia’s first hand account of the struggles she faced as a professional model and actress and how she ultimately dealt with it.
Most folks spend their retirement years relaxing, traveling, looking for new ways to enjoy life. For Nancy and Billy Goodman, that search led them to new careers as background actors. Since 2012 they’ve worked on multiple movies and shows including Boulevard, Nashville, Still the King, All Saints, and Summer of ’67. As a result, they’ve kept busy, learned new skills, and made many new friends along the way.
Terri Minton is one busy lady. She stumbled into acting twenty years ago and has since accumulated a long list of credits including Summer Snow, A Horse for Summer, Heaven Bound, and Saved by Grace. You can catch her as Beth Nimmo, Rachel Scott’s mom, in I’m Not Ashamed, releasing this weekend to theaters across the country.
