What If You Could? – Book Review and Author Interview

I came home from NRB Convention our first night, dead tired, but eager to start reading through the stack of books written by the many authors that we’d met that day. At the top of that stack was What If You Could? Find Faith in the Face of Fear by Jackelyn Viera Iloff.  It was exactly what I needed at the moment.

Most of the time I’m a pretty confident individual, but when fear enters my life, I tend to nourish it until it grows out of control. I’ve been going through a period in my life where I’ve allowed fear to take over my good sense. Jackelyn provided just the right words to open my eyes to how silly I’ve been acting and to direct me to scripture I needed to read. Her personal stories of fear and faith were spot on and exactly like situations that I’ve dealt with. It was so encouraging to witness her struggles and her triumphs.

I love the way Jackelyn breaks down the topics of fear and faith. She starts with explaining what faith is and what faith isn’t. Then she addresses fear and its affect on us. Finally, she explores aspects of faith and all that it provides for our everyday lives.  As an added bonus she provides 30 days of faith-filled devotional verses.

In my interview with Jackelyn she shared about her book, her ministry at Lakewood Church, and her upcoming projects.
