I love reviewing new music. After months of focus on filming, I jumped on the opportunity to review Nichole Nordeman’s cd Every Mile Mattered. It took a few days before I had a chance to listen, but then I popped it in the car on my way out of town. It was the perfect driving music.

I wasn’t familiar with Nichole, but it didn’t take me a full song to become a new fan. Her voice is pitch perfect and soothing to the soul. Her songs are original and upbeat. And the instrumentals are just the right blend.

I’ve got a free cd to give away. If you’d like your own copy of Every Mile Mattered, comment below and share your thoughts on the title song (video above) from the album. Deadline to enter is July 29.

  2. Nichole Nordeman is the greatest songwriter. I feel as though God himself whispers into her ear as she writes and her songs are always beautiful and powerful. I would have to say that she is my favorite female artist, regardless of genre.

  3. Every Mile Mattered is a perfect culmination of all of her past work as an artist and as a daughter of God and mother. She has traveled deep into her songs, through ups and downs including divorce and being a single mother. She is truly gifted in every sense of the word and I will listen to and cherish any work that she does. Every Mile Mattered is no exception.

  4. This album is her best! Each song she has released just blows me away…
I can remember when she came out waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in 2000 with “Looking At You (Looking At Me)” and falling in love with her voice and lyrics…

When the song “Every Mile Mattered” it made me think of my parents as we were a Pastor’s family and finally after 20 years they left it all because of politics/religion etc… and I know they look back and think “what was the reason for all the hurt and pain?” and this song is such a reminder that no matter what they went through, the pain, sorrow, it ALL mattered, they changed lives and they themselves grew…

Sound Of Surviving is literally my theme song after battling Anorexia and still being here by the grace of God…

    1. I thought the same thing when I heard “Every Mile Mattered” as we have family members going through the same thing. Glad to hear you’re conquering your battle. Thanks for sharing!
