Two years ago Suzanne Niles and I shared an elevator at NRB convention and started talking to each other. We’ve kept up with each other on Facebook, and when I found out about Fast Friends, her just released new book, I was eager to learn more. I interviewed her and co-author Wendy Little at NRB, and now I’m excited to share my review of their book.

Fast Friends is an incredible story of two women who met and then bonded through a decade of prayer and fasting together. They are two authentic women who have suffered loss and failure, frustration and disappointment, and are not afraid to be vulnerable and real in order to minister to other women. They’re also both gifted in the art of writing which makes for an enjoyable and relatable read.

Fast Friends is broken up into short chapters with each woman sharing their experiences and what God taught them through those experiences. Each chapter could easily be used as a daily devotion. In addition, the book includes a Bible study that can further enhance the study.

What impressed me the most about this little book is the way that scripture flows so naturally from both Suzanne and Wendy. Their writing is interwoven with scripture and their own personal words joined seamlessly  together.

Whether you’re looking for a how-to book on fasting or if you’re just looking for a spiritual uplift and inspiration for praying, Fast Friends is for you.

I'm a female filmmaker, blogger, and speaker with over a decade of industry experience. I'm passionate about visual storytelling. I know firsthand that you don't have to spend a fortune to make a good movie, and you can tell a powerful story without ever saying a word. My desire with Faith Flix is to educate, inspire, and encourage my fellow filmmakers. I know that Christian filmmakers can make better movies, but it takes education and hard work. I'll help with the education and leave you to do the hard work.
