Princess Cut at Christian Worldview Film Festival – Guest Blog by Paul Munger

Every year in beautiful San Antonio, TX, filmmakers gather to celebrate films from a distinctively Christian perspective at the Christian Worldview Film Festival or CWVFF for short. This year, the Guild and Festival were held March 10-14, 2015 at Castle Hills First Baptist Church. It was a tremendous week, filled with reuniting with fellow pro filmmakers scattered across the country, attending 40 film workshops, music and drama, and of course FILMS.  Over 100 films were submitted, and the final selections gave viewers a broad emotional experience, from award-winning shorts Wanted andRoses to documentaries such as Where Was God?, to music videos, corporate and promotional work, and finally full length feature films such as Polycarp, Adrenaline, Love Covers All, and Princess Cut.  A special preview screening of Beyond the Mask thrilled audiences as the Burns Family Studios prepares for an April 6, 2015 national theatrical launch.  You won’t want to miss this colonial family action movie, watch the trailer now and get tickets online before it’s too late!

On the closing night of the film festival, attendees packed in for the awards ceremony and the big winner of the night was Polycarp, taking home Best Feature, Audience Choice, and Best Original Score.  We are super delighted to share that Princess Cut received Runner-Up for Best Feature Film, and Runner-Up for Audience Choice Award!!  As you can imagine it is a very humbling and thrilling experience to receive such recognition.  The best part was sharing the film in multiple screenings with audiences, hearing them laugh at the comedic parts and gasp at the twists.  Afterwards, we heard from many who said the film had touched their hearts and made an impact upon their thinking about romance and relationships.  In God’s good providence, we hope this is just the beginning of great things to come for this Festival and for Princess Cut!
